Acne Scars

Whether you had acne as a teen or as an adult, acne scars can be a frustrating reminder of your past skin care challenges. While many individuals recover from acne without any scarring, some individuals are left with permanent reminders of the acne they used to have. Luckily, there is treatment for acne scars.

While the best way to prevent acne scars is to treat acne as soon as possible, that's not always possible. RC Dermatology offers various treatments for acne scarring, including microdermabrasion and chemical peels.

Aging & Wrinkles

While getting older is inevitable, it is possible to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as you age. Your Radiant Complexions skin care expert can recommend and perform a variety of treatments, including chemical peels, Botox, microdermabrasions, fillers and photofacials.

We also offer a complete line of professional grade, non-prescription skin care products to help keep your skin looking great long after your visit. Ask our staff for their recommendations for the best anti-aging products for your skin.

Botox®

Botox is the trade name for botulinum, a naturally derived muscle relaxant. Over time, the movement of facial muscles will cause folds and wrinkles to form on the face. Botox®, a highly purified muscle relaxant, can be injected into the offending muscles, allowing the skin to relax and the folds to soften or disappear.

The effect temporarily weakens the facial muscles and smooths or eliminates wrinkles in the skin for a few months. Botox is most often used on forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eye) and frown lines. Wrinkles caused by sun damage and gravity will not respond to Botox.

Chemical Peels

Peel back layers of blemished and damaged skin with a chemical peel. During this process, a skincare expert will use a chemical solution to remove dead skin, which can improve areas with dark spots, sun damage, acne scars or minimize fine lines.

You may also experience some redness and peeling skin after receiving treatment. This makes some individuals uncomfortable going out in public for a few days after a chemical peel. If this might be a concern for you, consider scheduling your chemical peel close to a weekend or another time where you can stay home and rest for a few days and allow your skin to heal. The results are worth it!

Juvéderm

Juvéderm is a dermal filler using hyaluronic acid that is designed to smooth out wrinkles and add volume to facial folds for ant-aging effects. It is a natural complex sugar that retains water and is found in all living organisms. It has been formulated to be more comfortable to inject and provide long-lasting correction for fine lines and wrinkles.

KYBELLA®

Have you been struggling to lose that double chin, only to have it persist despite eating right and exercising?

Radiant Complexions Dermatology is pleased to offer KYBELLA®, a new, FDA-approved, non-surgical solution to treat and improve fat-deposits below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” Using deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body, KYBELLA® aids in the breakdown and absorption of fat when injected beneath your chin. Once those cells are destroyed, they cannot store or accumulate fat, making KYBELLA® an attractive long-term alternative to liposuction or surgery to treat a double chin.

Latisse

Have you ever wished for longer, thicker, more beautiful lashes? If your eyelashes are thin or sparse, you may have a condition known as eyelash hypotrichosis. While mascara or false lashes might provide temporary improvements, there is a prescription treatment solution known as Latisse that can help make your eyelashes grow longer, thicker and darker.

Microdermabrasion

Has your skin lost its glow or been damaged by age, heredity, the sun and/or other environmental factors? Microdermabrasion can help revitalize your skin, giving you a fresh appearance by exfoliating damaged skin and allowing new skin to grow.

Microdermabrasion is the application of rough, tiny grains to buff away the surface layer of skin. Usually done as a series of treatments, microdermabrasion can minimize fine lines and wrinkles, lighten age spots and improve acne scarring.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a procedure that uses small needles to prick the skin. The purpose of treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. Microneedling is mostly used on the face and treats various scars, wrinkles and large pores.

Restylane

As we get older, our skin becomes thinner and no longer looks as smooth as it once did.  How well your skin ages can depend on a variety of factors, including genetics, sun exposure, diet and lifestyle. There are cosmetic dermatology treatments that can help restore some of the youthful appearance you've been missing.

Restylane provides immediate, long-lasting wrinkle correction. It is a safe, natural cosmetic dermal filler used to reduce laugh lines, reduce forehead wrinkles and to improve the appearance of the lips.

Rosacea

Rosacea is a common skin condition that can cause redness on your cheeks, chin, nose and forehead. Some individuals may also get bumps or pimples on the red areas of their faces or burning and soreness of their eyes.

While there is no known cure for rosacea, your RC Dermatology provider can prescribe medication and recommend other cosmetic dermatology treatments to help control your symptoms and keep them from getting worse.
